During operation, grinding wheels generate high-speed flying debris and metal dust, and there is a risk of wheel fracture. Therefore, operators must wear a full set of protective gear as specified to ensure personal safety:
Impact-resistant goggles: This is the core protective equipment and must be worn. Effectively blocks high-speed grinding debris and wheel fragments, preventing eye impact injuries. Select hard-shell goggles compliant with national standards; ordinary eyewear is not acceptable.
Dust mask: Metal and abrasive dust generated during grinding irritates and damages the respiratory tract. Long-term inhalation may cause occupational diseases. Wear a KN95 or higher-grade dust mask to filter particulate matter.
Cut-resistant gloves and protective clothing: Wear cut-resistant gloves to prevent hand lacerations from flying debris and avoid direct contact with high-temperature workpieces. Wear form-fitting, abrasion-resistant protective clothing with tightened cuffs to prevent clothing from being caught in grinding wheels. Loose clothing, scarves, or other items prone to entanglement are prohibited.
Safety helmets and slip-resistant footwear: Operators with long hair must secure it inside the helmet to prevent entanglement in machinery. Wear slip-resistant shoes to enhance traction and prevent slips caused by falling workpieces or equipment vibrations.
